Colourful shirts, African rhythms and varied indie-influences have led to critics describing Indigo Velvet as 'tropical-pop'. Tipped as ones to watch by BBC Introducing the list of industry insiders championing the band continues; The MetroScotland On Sunday, Clash Magazine, The SunThe Skinny Magazine, Record of the Day and more. Thanks to a growing fanbase, and direct support from Spotify their music has been played over 500,000 times on the platform and they've performed to sizeable crowds at The Great Escape, Kendal Calling, T In The Park, Belladrum and XpoNorth festivals. Airplay includes BBC IntroducingRadio X, a spot-play on Radio 1 and live sessions on Amazing Radio and the Janice Forsyth Show on BBC Radio Scotland. With over 20 festivals in the calendar this year, the young quartet from Edinburgh, are set for a landmark 2017.
